‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ lives up to hype
May 4, 2015
The summer season of movies has begun and I have the answer to your question: “Does Avengers: Age of Ultron live up to the record-breaking first Avenger movie?”
Yes it does!
The introduction of the twins, the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), delivers an interesting twist to the story. The twins fight their way onto the screen in a captivating, action-packed scene. The audience quickly becomes aware how devastatingly dangerous these two new characters are.
I must say, it was a winning move on the producer’s part to choose an Olsen sister and Taylor-Johnson as the formidable twins. I am a huge Olsen sisters’ fan as well as a Kick-Ass fan, and just their addition alone would have compelled me to see the movie.
Luckily, the movie delivers as do the twins. Avengers: Age of Ultron guarantees action-packed scenes of fighting, with close-ups of each Avenger. However, director Joss Whedon did not forget that love sells. He includes sentimental scenes of the brewing romance between the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and the strong, fierce Hulk—secretly nerdy scientist—(Mark Ruffalo). Whedon also shines light on the personal side of the less popular Avenger, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). Many of his secrets are revealed in this movie.
Let’s not forget about the fan favorites: Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth). These three poke at each other’s flaws all the time, and often times, it’s friendly. Sometimes, though, it’s not. For Iron Man, his egotistic personality contains many flaws and, in this movie, these flaws put the lives of his fellow super-heroes in danger.
For those who are not Marvel or comic book fans this movie is a solid seven out of ten. However, for the dedicated fans, this movie is close to perfection and deserves a stunning nine out of ten.
