Planking and other new photo stunts are taking over the Internet. Otherwise known as the lying down game, planking has been elevated to a competition for many of its participants. Many plankers dedicate Facebook albums to the trend while others are using it as a form of protest. The goal of planking is to take pictures in odd and public places.

According to Kym Huynh of the planking blog iPlanking.com, planking is quite simple and easy to do.

“You just lie flat with your arms to your side like a wooden plank,” said Tyler Webster, CEO of PlankResponsibly.com, a planking website on which people can post their best planking photos.

The planking trend is also generally known as photostunting. New photostunting trends are emerging everyday, and the latest trends include owling, batting, leisure diving, horsemanning and now, batmannning.

More photo trends continue to pop up everywhere on the Internet as people continue to take pictures of themselves doing crazy things.
