Student receives scholastic award

Congratulations to Senior Alex Zohore for winning the 2011 National Scholastic Awards Silver Medal in photography. His work, titled “Poor Coco,” received the silver medal as it “demonstrated high honors on the national level.” The 88-year-old Scholastic Art and Writing Awards program recognizes creative students and offers scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors. Zohore and other national winners will attend an awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City May 31.
