After graduating 22 seniors last season, including its primary striker 2010 alumnus Matt Risk, boys lacrosse will look to underclassmen and returning varsity players for success.
“A lot of leadership was lost,” assistant coach Wayne Olan said. “We’re very young but talented.
If they come together, we can make special things happen.”
The team will focus primarily on developing consistency, gaining experience and keeping a positive attitude. While the team is young, it still hopes to achieve success in the form of a championship.
“We have a lot of solid role players and hopefully we’ll be able to come together and go far in the playoffs,” junior Cameron Moshyedi said.
Along with Moshyedi, the team will rely on senior Andreas Constantinou and transfers Francis Ford and Brad Grossman from Bullis and Landon, respectively.
“Our goals are the same as last year,” Olan said. “We set them as high as we can—to win state championships.”
