WCHS APES students analyze maps ranging from nautical charts, which depict the depth of the Chesapeake waters, to land use maps, classifying the different types of land within a region. After recording what they think, see, and wonder about the maps, groups present their observations to the rest of the groups.

EcoMoco and Clean Waters Club recently organized a park cleanup at Cabin John Regional Park with Montgomery Parks. Park Cleanups is an example of an environmental community service activity that can be documented to contribute to the MAEOE Green School certification application.
