Science National Honors Society (SNHS) is one of the largest groups in the school encompassing juniors and seniors with accomplishments in science.

Students in SNHS have a 3.5 unweighted GPA or higher and they all maintain a minimum of 3.75 GPA in all their science classes. By being a member of SNHS, they also hear lectures from professionals in the area to allow them to explore the depth of science.

“By leading SNHS I have had the opportunity to interact with the scientific professionals who lecture us and to experience the pride of sharing credit for all that we have accomplished,” said current senior president Bradley Lawrence.

SNHS plays an active role in tutoring students during lunch. The society is integral to Churchill for they offer another teaching resource that students can go to for help.

“We provide tutoring twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, to the student population” said James Nugent, the sponsor of SNHS.

Tutoring will be available in room 201 for all science classes.
