As an addition to the homecoming week festivities this year, teachers engaged in a competition to see who could create the best decorations on their classroom door.

There was a competition for best individual door and best department as a whole. Winners were announced at the pep rally.

English teacher Eleanor Goodwin won best individual door and the Art Department won best department.

Teachers and students worked to create the doors. Some classes turned decorating door covers into a graded assignment.

“As an English teacher, I thought it was a golden opportunity to promote reading, not just for school, but for pleasure outside of school,” Goodwin said.
