Environmentalists held the biggest climate rally in U.S. history Feb. 17 on the National Mall in D.C.
The rally included a march to the White House to publicize the multiple droughts, wildfires and super storms that have taken place in the US.

According to the article, these weather extremes caused President Barack Obama to make the environment his top priority.
According to the CNN article, the United States has succeeded in completing its moral obligation to the environment. It has led the world in reducing carbon emissions for the past six years and carbon emissions have declined to1992 levels and continue to decline.
According to the article, Obama has promised that the US will lead the world in efforts to reduce global warming, and in the development of technologies to reach this goal.
